Planning and Development

RFC’s core competencies include the planning of new network structures, as well as the development of hybrid fiber-coax, broadband communication, and satellite systems. Our portfolio also includes the planning of modern FttH (Fiber to the Home) and FttB (Fiber to the Building) structures. From the smallest project to large-scale initiatives, we develop a well-thought-out concept tailored to the customer’s needs. We also provide a detailed estimate of the time and costs involved.

Professional Project Management

We support all projects from the initial consultation through to completion. We discuss the proposed project with the client and assess its feasibility. This also includes analyzing the existing infrastructure to integrate the new network where necessary. Based on the specifications and requirements, we then begin the detailed planning process. This includes creating civil engineering plans using AutoCAD and handling the right-of-way acquisition process.

Network Check with “AND Planning”

To avoid costly planning errors, our specialists use the AND (Advanced Network Design) software. The program enables the digital documentation of cable networks as well as the verification and visualization of material performance. For example, if the intended cables or amplifiers do not meet the requirements, the verification mechanism immediately flags the problem. This ensures compliance with standards, and you benefit from error-free planning.

We offer services ranging from complete construction projects at grid levels 2 through 4—from planning through installation—to customized partial services tailored to your needs.

NE2

Planning of signal processing in accordance with technical parameters and required channel allocation; integration of provided IP services; design of monitoring systems for network monitoring. Our own qualified technicians ensure that the plan is implemented on schedule.

NE3

Planning of the distribution network, from signal processing to the end-user locations, using either coaxial or fiber-optic technology as required. Route acquisition and permitting procedures round out our planning services.
Here, too, we are able to professionally implement the plans on-site. We outsource civil engineering services to long-standing partner companies.

NE4

RFC GmbH also designs the final section of the network within the building, from the building service amplifier to the subscriber connection box. This ensures that the design complies with standards from source to destination.
Naturally, the installation of this network level by qualified personnel is also included in our range of services.

In the long term, fiber-optic networks are better suited to meet the growing demand for bandwidth resulting from the nonlinear use of TV services. On the path toward complete transmission via fiber-optic cable, combinations of copper and fiber-optic cables (Hybrid Fiber Coax, HFC) currently represent the state of the art.
